The normal production time is around 10 working days from the date you receive the “order into elaboration” email. The shoes are handcrafted exclusively for you after you submit your order. We want to make sure your shoe is perfect. Therefore, in case our quality control team is not satisfied, the production lead time may take an additional 5 working days. DIS footwear is constructed using a traditional handcrafted way, guaranteeing the wearer a natural, long-lasting and comfortable shoe with an excellent fit and good design. DIS shoes are made in the Marche, the heartland of men's luxury footwear, by the skilled hands of artisans who have produced footwear for generations. We advise not to wear the same pair of shoes for two consecutive days. Keep your shoes in their wooden lasts – this helps them dry out and prevents wrinkles. Always clean your shoes with a cotton cloth then polish them with a wax-based polish, brushing vigorously and removing excess shine with a clean cotton cloth. Find out more.
We will do our best to meet the production times above indicated for all orders, however, being an artisanal production process, there are unforeseen events that can delay the delivery of a shoe: increased demand, periods of sales and promotions, raw material procurement problems, orders containing two or more customized shoes, or other exceptional events. In such cases, we promise to keep you informed and try to finish production as soon as possible.
Since this is a made-to-order service, you cannot modify the order once DIS has sent you the confirmation of acceptance of the order. If you encounter an error after submitting an order, please promptly email our support team, to look into your case individually.
If production has already started, cancellation of the order is not allowed once DIS has communicated the order acceptance confirmation to you.
The products shown in the 3D configurator and in the photographs have the sole purpose of displaying and representing the real product as faithfully as possible, both in terms of color and finish. However, the nuances may vary depending on the screen or monitor used by the Client. Since leather is a natural product and tanning is an individual process, which varies from leather to leather, we draw the Customer's attention to the fact that the shoe displayed may not correspond perfectly to the one delivered. In general, since DIS products are handmade, small variations in the color or quality of the leathers are to be considered characteristics of the product and its uniqueness, as well as an expression of its craftsmanship.
Sizes go from 36 to 52 including half sizes. DIS shoes are made using the Paris point system, the most widely used measurement system in the world. A Parish point is equal to 2/3 cm, or 6,667mm. To obtain your size you need to measure the length of your foot in centimeters, multiply by 3 and divide by 2. To this sum add 1.5 and round down to the middle number higher. You will find your size in Paris point. Example: foot length 26.5 cm. Size = (26.5 * 3/2) = 39.75 +1.5 = 41.5
We advise you to use the conversion table, since we also offer half sizes with a difference of only 3 mm between them, so you can confidently choose the size that best fits your foot. We are really sorry that your shoes do not fit you well and we will be happy to help you solve the problem. If they fit too loosely or come off, we suggest that you try resolving the problem by inserting an insole: this simple trick often helps you to regain as much as a half size. If they are too narrow, take them to a reliable shoemaker, who can widen them with the use of a special last. Also in this case it is possible to recover up to a half size.
Being DHL official partners, all products will be delivered by DHL couriers. You will be notified via email that the delivery of your order is on its way and of its tracking number. If you cannot be at the indicated address at the time of delivery, please contact the courier to facilitate this operation.
Shipping costs are indicated in the shipping table, they may vary depending on the country of destination and the volume of items in the cart and may be subject to different promotional policies. You will be informed of the total shipping costs on the checkout page after entering your shipping details.
From receipt of the shipped order email, these are the standard shipping times:
- Italy: 1 business day after we send you the confirmation that your order has been successfully released for shipping.
- Europe: 3 business days after we send you the confirmation that your order has been successfully released for shipping.
- Extra EU: 5 business days after we send you the confirmation that your order has been successfully released for shipping.
You can check the order status through your DIS account. You will be notified via email when your shoes are ready for shipping from our artisanal labs in Italy.
We will send you an email with the DHL tracking number of the parcel. You can check the shipment status on dhl.com.
All shoe prices are given in Euros. Prices may vary depending on the model and the type of leather chosen.
You can pay for your order by credit card, Paypal or bank transfer. In the case of bank transfers, your order will be executed as soon as we have confirmation that the DIS account has been credited. This may take a few extra working days, therefore you can speed up the process by sending a copy of the payment slip to email@example.com together with your order number.
You will receive an email with our commercial invoice shortly after placing a new order. If you cannot find your invoice, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
No returns or exchanges are allowed on MTO items: all of our custom shoes are made entirely by hand to order, strictly following your design instructions, therefore we only accept returns on products with obvious manufacturing defects. Find out more. Find out more.
